Today’s Cool Site… Your online medical guideThere is nothing more frightening than being diagnosed with a serious illness. In these circumstances, your physician is your best resource. He or she can tell you about causes and your treatment options. Of course, you’ll probably want to do some research, too. Fortunately, there’s a wealth of medical information online. But you may have trouble finding trustworthy information. In that case, visit Merck’s site. You can access the Merck Manual for free. This is what doctors use. You can learn about prognoses, treatment options and more. Hopefully you don’t have an illness. But what about that pain in your stomach? Could it indicate something more serious? The Merck Manual can help answer that question. It may just convince you to set up an appointment with your doctor.
• Video of the Day: Hiroshima, Japan, was bombed in August, 1945. This video examines events leading up to and following the atomic bombing. • Digital Minute, on your radio: You are entitled to a free annual credit report. But watch out for companies that will charge you for it. • Free Download of the Day: Amazon often reduces the prices of items. This program will let you know when that happens. No more regrets! • Tip on the site: SA-CD (Super Audio CD) is a struggling music format. Fans laud its sound. SA-CD takes special gear, so that sound isn’t cheap.
